A little more about me...

Providing specialist advice and support on social care matters, drawing from my extensive experience, skills and knowledge in social care.

I am a dedicated social worker with over 25 years of experience in various areas of social care. I am proud to say that I have been a qualified and highly skilled social worker since 1996, which has allowed me to develop my expertise in Mental Health and Mental Capacity, two areas that I am truly passionate about.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of serving as a Principal Social Worker and Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) Lead, giving me ample opportunities to contribute to national agendas and influence policymaking. As a practitioner, I am committed to ensuring that confidential, professional support and advice are always available to individuals requiring social care assistance.

In addition to my social care accomplishments, I have also worked as a Practice Educator, Practice Educator Mentor, and Social Work Placement Coordinator. I have had the pleasure of working with various universities and delivering training courses, enabling me to make a significant impact on the next generation of social workers.

In my work, I strive to maintain a calm, empathetic manner when relating to others, which has allowed me to identify significant social care issues more efficiently. My problem-solving approach has been invaluable in addressing the complex problems my clients often face.

"Susan was very caring and sympathetic, a good listener, also gave me some positive advice and gave me a little encouragement and help to push on with things I needed to get sorted after my sister died. I was in a bad place mentally and so exhausted her help and advice and calm nature was a massive help.”
